How is uKit AI unique?

AI Integrated Hardware

uKit AI is equipped with AI integration into the MCB (Main Control Box), including ASR (automatic speech recognition) and NLP (natural language processing). This enables the student to interact with robots through voice controls.

AI-Enabled Software

uKit AI connects with uCode which offers AI interactions in real-time, including Machine Learning model buildings, object recognition, pose recognition, image segmentation, and drawing recognition.

A Unique Approach

The curriculum is structured in a non-linear approach which encourages educators to create their own teaching journey based on their level of comfort, time constraints, and subject areas. Educators can follow our standard progression or create their own path as all modules are connected and independent.

A teacher with limited time wants to teach about data, engage with NLP while also touching on AI ethics.

Coding Curriculum

New for 2024! Scaffolded coding curriculum and lessons offering students the opportunity to learn and explore computer science and AI concepts through hands-on experiences with uKit AI.

Integrated STEM Curriculum 

Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) units for Grades 3-8, including science concepts, engineering design practices, cross-curricular connections, and an interactive digital student notebook. 

AI Foundations Curriculum

Requiring no hardware, this curriculum provides online resources, unplugged activities, and hands-on lessons to teach basic artificial intelligence and computer science concepts.

Beyond the Classroom

Perfect for camp settings and before/afterschool programs, each unit includes 10 hours of engineering-focused instruction housed within a teacher guide and an accompanying student-facing slideshow. 

UKIT Spark Starters 

These open-ended challenges allow students the opportunity to build their own robots to complete a specific task. Spark Starters are great for class challenges, makerspaces, camps, before/afterschool clubs, and small group activities.
