Robotics, Sensors, and AI for Educators:
Build robots that interact with the world

Program Robots & Earn Professional Development CEUs

Camp:ASPIRE for Educators is a week-long extended learning session designed for educators to attend a virtual robotics camp and have fun exploring, building and programming robots. Using the same format as Camp:ASPIRE, educators get to experience what it is like to be a student learning engineering skills in a fun, educational and pressure free environment. This camp is a way to learn while having fun – just like what you want your students to do – while earning professional development CEUs.

Robotics, Sensors, and AI for Educators: Build robots that interact with the world

Throughout this one week camp using the UKIT Intermediate, educators build and program robots using multiple sensors to help expand their STEM understanding while learning fundamental AI and coding concepts. Educators participate in activities that challenge them to think like engineers and solve problems using robotics and AI. The camp leads to a culminating activity where educators design and build their own robot to solve an identified problem and showcase their invention. This camp is perfect for educators who want to learn the basics of robotics, coding, AI and think about how to bring fun STEM resources into the classroom while earn CEU professional development hours

Educators will:

  • Explore communication systems by analyzing how humans and robots gather data about the environment to make decisions
  • Practice using multiple robotic sensors together
  • Build robots that interact with their surroundings
  • Think about how AI is advancing robotics
  • Learn basic coding skills by integrating multiple concepts into programs
  • Think about how to integrate robotics and project based learning into their classroom
  • Gain CEU professional development hours upon completion

Tech Requirements:

  • iOS, Android, or Chromebook device with UKIT EDU app installed
  • Internet-enabled device with webcam, microphone, and Zoom web conferencing ability
  • Reliable internet

Course Includes:
