Education Marketing and Community Development Manager

About the role

UBTECH Education is seeking a dynamic marketing manager with experience in the STEM educational technology field to support efforts to establish the organization as a leader in high-quality robotics and STEM+C instruction.

This is a unique opportunity to join a startup team within a larger organization, and to provide equitable access to high-quality robotics solutions to students across North America.

Location: UBTECH North America headquarters in Los Angeles, CA

Responsibilities

  • Put your marketing fingerprint on the larger strategic plan for building brand awareness in the U.S. K–12 and higher education markets
  • Execute the marketing strategy for new and existing solutions in partnership with product management and support the development of an overall UBTECH Education community of users
  • Connect with customers and prospects to learn how to best position, and evolve UBTECH Education’s message to speak to our target audiences
  • Oversee implementation of the marketing strategy, including campaigns, content marketing, success stories, events and conferences, digital marketing, and public relations
  • Execute demand generation campaigns direct to educators, from strategic segmentation and targeting to storyline development to broadcast in synch with educator buying cycle
  • Partner with the sales team and channel partners to understand their needs, then create, curate, and evolve marketing assets to be effective pre- and post-sale tools
  • Develop and deliver marketing and communications presentations to the internal team, channel partners, and potential customers
  • Analyze competitive landscape and determine a plan for standing out Identify new opportunities and target market segments
  • Co-manage social media presence with UBTECH Robotics North America team
  • Co-manage a significant marketing budget and prioritize spend based on short- and long-term ROI projections
  • Use WordPress to maintain and update the UBTECH Education website to ensure strong SEO and spotlight the latest news and messaging
  • Liaise with our public relations firm
  • Participate in UBTECH Robotics North America marketing meetings

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing
  • 1+ year of experience in education and/or educational technology
  • Familiarity with WordPress, MailChimp, GDrive, and CRM systems
  • Experience in the fields of robotics, coding, and/or science preferred
  • Experience in a startup environment a plus

Qualifications

  • A measurable track record of success executing campaigns and developing strategy
  • Solid references from relevant organizations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Comfortability working both in an office and remotely
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Experience managing in-house and remote teams
  • Familiarity with lighthouse or land-and-expand sales strategies
  • Focus group moderation and event planning expertise
