Camp:ASPIRE for Educators
Camp:ASPIRE for Educators is a week-long extended learning session designed for educators to attend a virtual robotics camp and have fun exploring, building and programming robots. Using the same format as Camp:ASPIRE, educators get to experience what it is like to be a student learning engineering skills in a fun, educational and pressure free environment. This camp is a way to learn while having fun – just like what you want your students to do – while earning professional development CEUs.
Intro to Robotics for Educators:
Coding, Engineering, and AI
In this one week camp using the UKIT Beginner, educators start by building and programming basic robots to do simple tasks and quickly progress to designing more complex robotic creations.
Working in virtual groups, like-minded educators learn the basics of programming and expand computational thinking skills through fun, hands-on exploration, and troubleshooting in the context of real-world scenarios. Educators work towards designing and building their own custom robot while tackling different AI concepts each day. This camp is perfect for educators who want to learn the basics of robotics, coding, AI and think about how to bring fun STEM resources to the classroom while earning CEU professional development hours.
Robotics, Sensors, and AI for Educators:
Build robots that interact with the world
Throughout this one week camp using the UKIT Intermediate, educators build and program robots using multiple sensors to help expand their STEM understanding while learning fundamental AI and coding concepts.
Educators participate in activities that challenge them to think like engineers and solve problems using robotics and AI. The camp leads to a culminating activity where educators design and build their own robot to solve an identified problem and showcase their invention. This camp is perfect for educators who want to learn the basics of robotics, coding, AI and think about how to bring fun STEM resources into the classroom while earn CEU professional development hours
